PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Artist / Director of Creative Concept Development - 1999 to present
Great Notions, Dallas, Texas
As the head of a large international art department, I am responsible for the conceptualization and design of all product and merchandise sold under the Great Notions name as well as a number of other companies in the hobby/craft industry. I personally conceptualize and hand render artwork that is used for embroidery disk stock art. I am expected to combine creative concept development with technical know-how in order to produce a highly marketable and popular product for mass retail sales. I research and design products that appeal to a target customer in order to maintain a consistent company image, generate repeat sales and orders while focusing on staying fresh and ahead of the competition. I coordinate with other departments to ensure consistency of image and a quality finished product. This position is extremely high volume and fast paced, a continual creative challenge.

Licensed Illustrator - 2002 - present
Applejack Art Partners, Manchester Center, Vermont
Through referrals, I collaborate with manufacturers in the creation of products for the paper, craft, hobby and gift markets. My designs are sold world-wide in the form of stationery, stickers, rubber stamps, puzzles, fabric, greeting cards and many more products.
